These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and SINSCENTS LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company (sole member Stephen T Sprague, Milford, Massachusetts, USA) ("we," "us," "our"), operator of CalculateMine (calculatemine.com), its publication and club The Mother Lode, and all tools, maps, generators and games offered there (together, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service provides free online calculators, converters, generators, chance and decision tools, games, game maps and a daily publication. Every tool is free. No tool requires an account, a signup or payment. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also introduce optional features in the future; if a future feature has its own terms, they will be presented before you use it.
We build every tool carefully, verify its worked example, and show its math so you can check it. Even so:

The Mother Lode is the Service's publication and its readers' club under one name. Reading is free and requires nothing. Joining the club (email subscription and, when launched, sign-in) is governed by these Terms and the Privacy Policy. The promise on the join form — "No spam. No ads. Just fun and updates." — is a commitment we intend to keep, and the Privacy Policy describes exactly what joining involves, including double opt-in and one-click unsubscribe.
Accounts, when sign-in launches, are provided through our sign-in provider. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email account secure, since the confirmation link is the credential. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms.
From time to time we may run giveaways. No giveaway is running at the time these Terms are published. Each giveaway is governed by its own Official Rules, which supplement these Terms and control in case of conflict. Unless the Official Rules of a specific giveaway say otherwise: no purchase is necessary; entry is one per person; entrants must be 18 or older (age of majority where they live); and cryptocurrency-denominated prizes are not offered — they remain disabled unless and until a specific giveaway's Official Rules, reviewed by counsel, expressly enable them.
Some features let you create or load content on your device — for example, uploading a map image to the bring-your-own map maker, adding pins, routes and labels, and saving maps. Under the current design, that content stays in your browser on your device; it is not transmitted to us.
You are responsible for content you create or load. By using an image with the map maker, you represent that you have the right to use that image. Do not use the Service to create or store content that infringes anyone's rights or breaks the law.
If any feature in the future allows content to be transmitted to or hosted by us, additional terms will be presented first, including our right to remove content that violates these Terms and a process for copyright complaints (see Section 8).
Parts of the Service are unofficial fan works. The full Fan-Content & Maps Disclaimer is part of these Terms. In short: fan maps and game tools are made by fans, for fans; they are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher; game titles, artwork and other game intellectual property belong to their respective owners; and rights holders may contact us at steve@re4rge.com for prompt removal of any material — see Section 8.
You agree not to:
Ours. The Service's design, text, publication content (including The Mother Lode stories, facts and quote selections), code, tool implementations, and the CalculateMine and The Mother Lode names and marks are owned by SINSCENTS LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may share links and quote short excerpts of publication content with credit and a link back. Any other reproduction, redistribution or commercial use requires our written permission.
Theirs. Game titles, game artwork (including map imagery derived from games), and other third-party intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners. Their presence in fan works on this site implies no affiliation or endorsement. See the Fan-Content & Maps Disclaimer.
Copyright complaints. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, notify our designated agent at steve@re4rge.com with enough detail to identify the work and the material. It is our policy to respond promptly, and to remove fan material on a rights holder's request without argument.
The Service links to third-party sites and uses third-party providers for hosting, fonts and — when launched — email and sign-in. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services, their content, or their privacy practices.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY RESULT WILL BE ACCURATE FOR YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) SINSCENTS LLC AND ITS MEMBER, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR ANY RESULT OBTAINED FROM IT; AND (B) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED USD $100. THE SERVICE IS FREE; THIS ALLOCATION OF RISK IS PART OF THE BARGAIN. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, IN WHICH CASE THE LIMITATIONS APPLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED THERE.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SINSCENTS LLC and its member from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your content, or your misuse of the Service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you consent to their jurisdiction — except where the law of your place of residence gives you a mandatory right to another forum.
We may update these Terms; the current version will be posted here with its effective date, and material changes will be announced on the site before they take effect. Continued use after a change takes effect means acceptance. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Fan-Content & Maps Disclaimer and any applicable Giveaway Official Rules are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
